2nd. Rain all morning through the first hour, very sloppy roads. An early section around mile 22 cut the lead group down to 7. Video starts with 60min/20mi left. A solo break gets chased down and finally caught, leaving only 3 in the top group a few miles from the finish. I tried to get free solo but got closed down. 8th/11 in Clyde, combined field with 4/5, 27 total riders. Sitting 4th in Clyde when I crashed at the end of Lap 1. Had to straighten the saddle out before hopping back on, lost a bunch of spots. Didn't have anything to try to make that up. Great race, challenging course. My last race of 2023. It's been a great year, 41 races between crit/road/gravel/CX.
